How Does Airsled® Work

Airbeams or casters - comprised of perforated, neoprene-coated nylon sealed to the edges of a rigid backing surface - simply slip under the object to be moved.  Air is forced through small holes on the undersides of the airbeams, generated from one or more low pressure blowers connected by hoses to points on the airbeams.   When the blowers are turned on, a pressure of approximately one pound per square inch is created and the load rises on a micro-thin cushion of air.

Features

Reduced Labor Costs - requires less time and fewer employees than traditional material handling methods.

Reduced Floor Damage -because the point load is minimized, there is no scratching or marring to the floor.

Easy-To-Use - the only requirement is a smooth, level floor and enough accessible surface area to lift the load. Note that the Airsled® System can move over expansion joints and cracks up to 3/4" wide.

Lightweight - shoulder slung blower weighs only 12 pounds.

Simple Hook-Up - can be ready to go in seconds: slip air beams under the load, attach and activate blower(s).

Maneuverable - equipment can be moved in and out of confined areas with exceptional precision.

Increased Productivity - less fatigued, employees are quickly able to move on to other projects.
